Canberra

I'd heard many comments about Canberra before I arrived and most of them were pretty negative, but in all honesty I found the Capital city to be beautiful. It wasn't the easiest city to get round as a tourist, but I was lucky enough to have friends there who were kind enough to be personal tour guides! The city was well spread out and very green, although evidence still remains from the terrible bush fires they had several years back! I learned that Canberra does have a nightlife if you know where to look, I had another go at rock climbing!!! And got to learn more about the history of Australia - bloody oath it's a grouse country! My thanks to Wendy and Aileen for showing me around, and to Alex and Graeme, for their alternative guide to the city!
