The Great Ocean Road - Melbourne to Adelaide Road Trip!

First of all I have to say to any of you coming to Australia, the Great Ocean Road is a must! It has been on my "to do" list for quite some time, so I'm chuffed I got to do it before I have to leave. I didn't do the road by car, as I had originally intended, because the hassles of buying and selling a vehicle for such a short time, weren't economical, so instead I hooked up with a new tour company, called Going South and hit the road with them. Incidently, I can highly recommend them for anyone wishing to go with an organised group, the inclusions are much better that other competitors and the drivers were a blast.

As you will see from the photos, the G.O.R is absolutely spectactular and a real gem of the State of Victoria. The beaches are fantastic for surfing, and not far from the start of the road, you find the famous beaches of Torquay and Bell's beach, well known for it's Easter Surf festivals. Once you hit the road of course, there is plenty to see and do, with loads of amazing sights, including the 12 Apostles, London Bridge and Bay of Islands. Plenty of photo opportunities to be had, as you can see from the following selection!

After the G.O.R, we headed inland to the magnificent Grampian mountains, where we saw some spectacular waterfalls, gorges and valleys. Sadly there wasn't enough time to try some Rock Climbing, although walking through the mountains at different points was enough to satifsy some of that desire. Hang on, did I just put desire and climbing rocks in the same sentence???

So, anyway, enough idle talk, on with the photos!!!
