It's been a while since I've sent an e-mail out to any of you, and I really have to apologise for this slack behaviour, I'd like to say it's because I've been extraordinarily busy (which I have) but in all honesty it's been more pleasurable activeness than real hard yakka!

Some exciting news for this week: Chris and Kara, my friends from Melbourne, are coming over for 10 days - it's incredible that it's taken us 2 years to see each other again, and now I'll have spent 2 weeks with them in 2 months!

Other exciting news... It's 6 weeks now until I head off to New Zealand! I'm looking forward to it (who wouldn't be) but I'm going to miss Australia, especially WA and all my friends like crazy. Hopefully though I'll be able to get working in an environmental / ecotourism field, which will better my chances of study in Australia next year and eventually residency here.

Which brings me to that exciting news: Yes, I'm hoping at some stage to become a permanent resident here. It's not been a decision I've taken lightly, especially with other friends and family back in Europe - but the work I really want to be involved in lies here in Australia. And besides, you should all see it as a way to get a cheap holiday - or otherwise be grateful I may never bother some of you again!!! It would also mean I could visit Thailand fairly easily and maybe one day I'll be able to contribute significantly to conservation efforts in the Phi Phi Islands.

So there you go, that's probably enough to keep some of you occupied for the moment! Hope you're all keeping well, believe it or not I am thinking of you and wishing you happy thoughts!

Oh and before I go "Happy Chinese New Year" - We are now in the Year of the Rooster - hope some of you saw as magical celebrations as I did here in Perth!

Until next time,

Love K xxx
