Streuth...

It seems kind of ironic using the header CRIKEY for my post on Sunday night, only to hear on Monday of the sudden and tragic death of Steve Irwin. Having recently been at Australia Zoo and seeing all the amazing work that Steve and Terri have been involved in - I questioned at first some of the "Steve-o "crocs rule" branding which is splashed everywhere, but on reflection, realised that without it, many people would not have ventured to Beerwah to see the Zoo itself.

I was quite a shock to hear and I know that a lot of people have felt the same, although I suppose it's weird to feel loss of someone who was, after all, another human being. I guess it's that Steve Irwin had character to him and whether you loved or hated him, he made an impact on people.

Anyway, enough speak on the subject. Just wanted to pay my own little tribute to Steve, because as someone from Brissy said - he was a "bloody good Aussie".
