It has been a 'super good'* week, with lots happening, as our time in Cirencester is drawing to an end.

Firstly, I found out that I got into Exeter to do my PGCE in English and Drama, which is great news, because I was feeling a little tense about the whole thing! The interview was last week and they'd mentioned it could take as long as three weeks to hear back - that would have been torture. So now, it's a case of study hard, in order to complete all the precourse tasks; it's going to be a busy summer!

Secondly - and this one might have been a 'black week' for Fergus** - we part exchanged our spunky (you've got to love that word), VW Golf, for a rather sexy looking 206. It's a diesel, so the potentially long trips to and from uni/school, shouldn't cost as much as they would have in the Golf - we're looking at an extra 15 mpg at least. Now all I've got to do is christen the 206.

Finally...

Heard back from Zest magazine that they're putting an article in about me (only a short thing, but hey!)based on my decline since returning to the UK! Speaking to a Personal Trainer for an hour the other week was actually very helpful and I've at last started to shift some of the weight I've put on. Now all I've got to do is get rid of the remainder before my brother's wedding! Thankfully the 5km training sessions for the RACE FOR LIFE are still going well - don't forget you can still sponsor me. There are several links throughout my blog, including one in the 'links' column on the right.

Well, that should keep it covered for now! Hope you're all well as usual, K xx

* 'Super good day' - expression used by Christopher, from the excellent book, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nightime
** Fergus was the name of our Golf, 'black day' also refers to a comment by Christopher.

Please Pray for Sophie

I've just read about Sophie Delezio - a five year old girl from Sydney, Australia, who suffered terrible burns in 2003 when a car crashed into her daycare centre -
She is once again fighting for her life after having been hit by a car, whilst in her pushchair on a pedestrian crossing.

Please pray for her and her family at this terrible time.

My thoughts are with them x
